Experienced Leadership

Victory Welding Alloys, Inc. is led by George J. Foote and retired Army Lt. Col. Brian P. Steele.  With over 65 years of combined leadership and experience, George and Brian created Victory Welding Alloys, Inc. to be the #1 welding filler metals supplier to distributors.

Having begun his career with the “original” Unibraze in 1978, George went on to co-found U.S. Alloy Co., DBA Washington Alloy Company, in 1983 and remained there as Vice-President until 2004. Under his direction, Washington Alloy grew from start-up to national recognition. George was hired as President and General Manager of Inweld Corporation in 2004 and again grew the company to become nationally acclaimed. With decades in leadership positions and industry knowledge, Mr. Foote co-founded Victory Welding Alloys, Inc. in 2015. Victory Welding Alloys, Inc. continues to leverage George’s experience, leadership, and relationships to deliver value-added solutions to distributor needs in the same manner that has made him successful since the 1970s.

Brian retired from the U.S. Army in early 2018 after serving more than 20 years.  He brings a wealth of experience in financial management and leading organizations.  For the first half of his Army career, he led Soldiers at the tactical level in the 1st Cavalry Division, the 82nd Airborne Division, and taught ROTC at Wake Forest University.  Brian became a comptroller in 2007 and spent his last 10 years managing budgets for general-officer-level headquarters.  At the strategic level, Brian served three years on the Joint Staff in the Pentagon shaping the DoD’s annual budget submission.  Brian has deployed multiple times in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom and will leverage his experience to lead Victory Welding Alloys into the future.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1997.  He holds a Master of Business Administration and an Executive Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University.

He and his wife, Nickie, live in Pinehurst, NC and have four children.
